Master of Music

Caleb Hans Polashek leads a varied musical career as a solo, orchestral, chamber, and collaborative performer, composer, and recording artist. Having studied violin from an early age and through a post graduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin within the highly esteemed studio of Brian Lewis at The Butler School of Music, Caleb has dedicated the vast majority of his time to the art of the instrument and music in general: decorating time with sound.

Caleb’s performances of works for solo violin have been heard in the United States, The UK, France, and in Austin venues including Circuit of The Americas Race Track, The Paramount Theater, and The ACL Moody Theater among others. Some performances were simultaneously streaming around the country and beyond, broadening the reach of this musician’s efforts to engage and entertain with spectacular musicianship and finesse. Caleb’s belief that music can heal as well as entertain continues to motivate him to improve on violin and beyond.

Illumination Preview - Cyclone No. 2

The second in a series of three pieces for solo violin, Cyclone No. 2 combines the classical training and adventurous spirit that has helped Caleb push the boundaries of modern solo violin. It begins with a grand and resonant d minor chord, the following ones outlining the basic chordal structure but quickly unraveling to hint at what is to come. What will follow the rising harmonics that suspend the music momentarily? Listen and find out.
